The diamond is natural and original to the ring. The rubies are vintage, and are so perfect and glowing that they are very likely lab grown. My jeweler believes they were replacements added to the ring around the mid-century. The prongs were re-tipped at some point in history (likely when the rubies were replaced) and are in excellent condition.
This gorgeous ring offers excellent finger coverage and would be lovely on any finger or as an alternative engagement ring. True comps are hard to find, but similar rings are listed anywhere from 1,500-2,000.
