I typically try to keep my cool, but I audibly squealed when I came across this watch chain – it is THE PERFECT puffy mariner link, cast in buttery 18K. It features solid yellow gold links, a swivel dog clip on one end and a large bolt clasp on the other. The links are in beautiful condition and look fabulous styled as a necklace (in the photos I paired them with a 4 inch extender) or, depending on your wrist size, doubled as a bracelet. Vintage 18K Puffy Mariner Watch Chain
Length: 12.5 inches total length; each mariner link is 7 mm long by 5.75 mm wide; connector links are about 6.5 mm long; swivel dog clip is 17.2 mm long; bolt clasp is 8.2 mm across
Weight: 23.5 grams
Hallmarks: Both the dog clip and the bolt clasp are stamped 18K (also verified through testing) and the chain is stamped “TIFFANY” (this has NOT been authenticated, and is therefore priced accordingly)
Condition: The chain is in excellent vintage condition. One link has a small file mark that is not visible when worn, and frankly hard to find even when you are looking for it. The dog clip is in perfect condition. The bolt clasp is fully functional and closes securely (the spring is in excellent working order), but it has lost its peg, meaning you must use your fingernail to open it.
